Police in Kasarani are investigating the death of a man who succumbed to injuries several days after allegedly falling from the second floor of a residential building along TRM Drive.

According to the police, the incident was reported on June 5, 2026.

The family stated that they received a phone call on May 31 at about 1:00 a.m. informing them that their brother, Harrison Langat, was at Club Covo in the company of a man identified only as Collins and was heavily intoxicated.

Concerned about his condition, they requested one of them to pick him up from the club and take him home.

Upon arriving at the residence, the friend reportedly realized he had left the house keys downstairs and briefly left Harrison alone.

While downstairs, he was informed that his roommate had jumped from the second floor and was lying unconscious on the ground.

Harrison was rushed to Jesse Kay Hospital for emergency treatment before being referred to Kenyatta University Referral Hospital for specialized care. He remained hospitalized until June 4, 2026, when he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Police have launched investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the fall and determine whether any foul play was involved. The body is expected to undergo a post-mortem examination as part of the ongoing inquiry.

Elsewhere, police in Juja are investigating the death of a 24-year-old woman who fell from the fourth floor of an apartment building in an incident initially recorded as a suspected suicide.

According to the police, the incident happened on June 6, 2026.

A passerby reported seeing a person fall from the fourth floor of Executive Plaza before striking a razor wire fence and landing on the ground within the compound.

The witness, together with a security guard at the premises, rushed to check on the victim and found a woman lying motionless. The matter was immediately reported to the police emergency centre.

Police responded to the scene and found the lifeless body of a middle-aged woman with a deep cut wound on her forehead.

The deceased was identified as Faith Emma Oyugi, 24, a former student of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, who was residing in Room 404 at Executive Plaza.

Preliminary inquiries revealed that the woman had arrived at the apartment complex while appearing intoxicated and was accompanied by her boyfriend, an electrical engineering student residing in Room 408 of the same building.

According to the security guard, the boyfriend left her at the ground floor before proceeding to his room.

He was later contacted and informed that the woman had fallen from the building.

Crime scene investigators processed and documented the scene before the body was moved to Thika General Kago Funeral Home pending a post-mortem examination.

Police investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal fall.

Authorities have not announced any conclusions regarding the cause of death, and the post-mortem examination is expected to provide further details.
