Man dies in hospital after being assaulted by wife in Kakamega

A 39-year-old man died in hospital after he had been assaulted by his wife in a domestic fight in Butali village, Kakamega County.
The deceased had been involved in a domestic fight with his wife at their Matioli home when he was assaulted, the woman escaped the scene as the man identified as Isaac Mukolwe was taken to the hospital where he died.
Police said the body was moved to the mortuary where an autopsy confirmed on Thursday he died out of injuries to his head.
A hunt on the woman is ongoing, police said.
In Lwala, Bondo, Siaya County, a man was fatally assaulted while attending a disco event in the village.
The deceased went to his home with the fatal injuries where he succumbed. Witnesses told police Felix Akech, 28 had been involved in an altercation at the event before he was hit in the head.
He then left for his house where he was found moaning in pain and rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body had injuries in the head.
In Lolwe, Kisumu County, the body of a man was found on the roadside after a suspected murder.
The police suspect the man was murdered elsewhere before the body was dumped in the Migosi area.
The body had a deep cut in the back of his head. The police moved the body to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
The motive of the murder is yet to be known, police said.
In Sotik, Bomet County, there was drama after a bus driver drove to the local police station following an altercation with two passengers who had tried to take control of the bus.
The bus was headed for Kisii from Nairobi when two passengers turned rowdy and demanded to drive it. Other passengers joined and subdued the two before the driver drove to the Sotik Police Station where they were detained for grilling pending arraignment. No one was injured in the drama, police said of the Thursday afternoon incident.
And a wall under construction collapsed and injured a woman in her house. The debris emanated from the wall of a six-storey house that is under construction, police said.
The woman was treated and discharged as officials from the county government and the National Construction Authority visited the scene as part of the probe into the incident on Wednesday.
The house where the woman stayed was also damaged.
In Kiminini, Bungoma County, a 12-year-old boy was seriously burnt in an electrocution incident. He was rushed to hospital in a stable condition, police said of the Thursday incident.
The incident happened in Ndalu village after the boy touched a naked live Kenya Power and Lighting cable that was hanging there. He sustained burns in the face, legs and neck, police said.
The KPC officials in the area arrived at the scene and disconnected power supply pending further connections.
