A man stabbed and killed his expectant wife in a domestic feud in Komarock, Nairobi County.

The body of Najma Ali Mohamed, 20 was on December 20 found lying at the entrance of her house after she had been stabbed in the stomach and back in a confrontation.

Her husband was later arrested for grilling for murder, police said.

She was six months pregnant. Witnesses and police said the couple had quarreled in their house over money issues before the woman tried to pick a kitchen knife and threatened the husband.

The husband then grabbed the weapon from her and used it to stab her fatally.

Her body was found lying in a pool of blood by her brother who tried to rescue her in vain. Police arrived at the scene and picked up the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

The killer weapon was also recovered at the scene, police said.

The husband was on Monday December 22 expected in court to face murder charges, police said.

Such domestic murder incidents have been on the rise in homes amid calls on parties to solve them amicably. Some of the incidents are pending in courts, officials said.

In Mweiga, Nyeri County, the body of a man was found in a maize plantation after a suspected murder.
