Man found dead in toilet in Parklands

Detectives are investigating an incident where the body of a man was found in a toilet in Parklands, Nairobi.
The deceased was identified as Benson Mwasa, 30. It is not clear what caused his death when the body was discovered on Friday along Masari Road, police said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
And two teenage boys drowned in a pool of water in Tuigoin, Cherengany, Trans Nzoia County.
The two had gone to a river to take a bath at a water pond near Nyebinyinyi stream in Kapkeres village when the incident happened on Friday evening.
The victims had attended a circumcision event before they ventured into the water to bathe. Police said they drowned.
They were students aged 17 and 16 at Segero Chesaos Secondary School and Simat Secondary School respectively.
Locals responded to the scene and pumped water out of the pond to enable them retrieve the bodies, police said. The bodies were moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Meanwhile, police are investigating an incident where the remains of a man who had been buried in September 2022 was exhumed and reburied elsewhere in Maseno area, Kisumu County over a dispute of a piece of land.
The remains were exhumed on December 17 night by unknown people who had been hired and reburied elsewhere, police said.,
Police said the group did not have an order for the exhumation. The police are investigating the incident for action.
And a herder was shot and killed in an attack by gunmen in Sarmach sub location, West Pokot County.
The gunmen shot and killed Chumel Losur before escaping as security personnel in the area responded there, police said.
The efforts to trace the gunmen are ongoing, police said of the Friday incident.
The area is under an operation to address cattle rustling menace. This has led to some locals surrendering their weapons.
