A man was killed following a domestic altercation in Mukuru kwa Njenga area, Embakasi Sub-County, Nairobi.

According to police the incident occurred in the early hours of April 19, 2026.

Police said the deceased, identified as Muthiani Muthee, had gone to a pub operated by his wife, where he found her sleeping alongside several other people.

A confrontation reportedly ensued after he accused those present of engaging in inappropriate activities.

During the altercation, the deceased is said to have drawn a knife.

However, the wife allegedly overpowered him and pushed him to the ground. Moments later, he was found bleeding profusely.

Police officers who responded to the scene, located west of the station, found the man lying on his back outside the pub with a deep cut to the throat.

The suspected murder weapon, a knife, was recovered at the scene.

Two individuals, including the wife, were arrested. They were described as physically fit but had bloodstains on their clothes. They are currently in custody assisting with investigations.

The scene was processed by Scenes of Crime officers from Embakasi, and the body was moved to Nairobi City Mortuary pending post-mortem examination.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Elsewhere, a 20-year-old student from Trans Nzoia County died after sustaining a suspected stab wound under unclear circumstances in Matisi area.

According to police, the incident was reported on April 19, 2026, though it occurred the previous night at around 11:30 p.m. in Lukhuna area, Matisi Location.

The deceased, a Form Three student at Transnzoia Secondary School, is said to have arrived home at about 11:00 p.m. with blood oozing from a neck injury that appeared to be a stab or piercing wound.

According to his father, the young man was unable to explain how he sustained the injury.

Family members rushed him to Cherangany Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The body was later moved to Kijana Wamalwa Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary, where it is being preserved pending a post-mortem examination.

Police officers visited the facility and confirmed the report, launching investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal injury.

And a middle-aged man was found dead under unclear circumstances in Sondu area, Sigowet Sub-County, Kericho County.

According to police, the incident was reported by a local resident.

She stated that while heading to the highway to receive a parcel, she came across the body of an unknown man lying in a corridor near Moran Guest House.

Police officers, accompanied by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), visited the scene and confirmed the body was that of a middle-aged man. Preliminary observations indicated that the body had no visible physical injuries.

The scene was processed and documented by investigators before the body was moved to Sigowet Sub-County Mortuary, where it is being preserved pending identification and a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Authorities have launched investigations into the incident and are appealing to members of the public with missing relatives or any relevant information to come forward.
