Man killed in Trans Nzoia, wife abducted

Police in Trans Nzoia County launched investigations after a 68-year-old man was found murdered in his house at Kiptugut Farm, Kimase Village, Twiga Location, Endebess Sub-County.
Joseph Njenga was found dead in his matrimonial bed on Sunday morning after unknown assailants reportedly attacked his home.
Police visited the scene and established that Mr Njenga had suffered three deep cut wounds on the right side of his head, near the ear.
The main door of the house was found open, raising questions about how the attackers gained entry and what happened before and after the killing.
Police also established that Njenga’s wife, had been abducted during the incident. She was later found in Kitale town.
The CSI team documented and processed the scene as detectives commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the killing and the alleged abduction.
The deceased’s body was removed and taken to Crystal Cottage Mortuary in Kitale pending postmortem examination.
Police are investigating the motive behind the killing and the circumstances under which the woman was abducted and later found in Kitale town.
And the body of a man who had been reported missing was recovered from River Ngong in the Kingston area of Nairobi.
The deceased was identified as Jayson Takim Maina, whose disappearance had been reported at Lungalunga Police Station on August 26, 2026.
According to police, the body was spotted floating in the river on Friday, prompting members of the public to retrieve it from the water.
The officers established that the body belonged to Maina, who had been listed as a missing person two days earlier.
The scene was processed and documented before the body was moved to the City Mortuary, where it is being preserved pending a postmortem examination to establish the cause of death.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding Maina’s disappearance and death are ongoing.
