Man slashes and kills son aged three in Baringo

Detectives are hunting for a man who slashed and killed his son in an incident in Kawatut village, Kolowa, Baringo County.
Police said the man was armed with a panga when he attacked and killed the three-year-old boy.
He slashed him in the head, neck, and chest, killing him instantly. He escaped the scene as the mother of the child screamed for help.
Police said they visited the scene and collected the body for an autopsy.
The motive of the murder was not immediately established, police said of the September 21 incident. Police said they are investigating murder in the saga.
Elsewhere in Maralal, Samburu County, one Jackson Luvusi, 30 was shot and killed in an attack in Loibornkare shopping centre.
Police officers visited the scene and found the deceased lying dead in his garage/ workshop, where he usually keeps his motorcycle in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and stomach.
A search for cartridges was carried out at the scene but none were recovered, an indication that the suspect collected them after shooting the deceased.
The motive of the shooting could not immediately be established as nothing was stolen from the deceased.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Elsewhere in Kianjokoma, Embu County, one Peterson Murimi, 25 was found dead outside a house after a suspected murder.
His body was found with visible injuries in the hands, left shoulder, waist and left outside his house.
His dreaded hair had been shaved and the hair abandoned outside the house, police said.
The motive of the murder was not immediately known, police said, adding they are investigating the incident.
The body was picked up to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations, police said.
