Man, wife and daughter found dead after suspected murder-suicide in Nairobi

Detectives are investigating an incident where a 62-year-old man is suspected to have murdered his wife and daughter before he died by suicide in Saika area, Nairobi.
The motive of the Saturday incident is yet to be known.
The body of Justus Wambua, 62 was found hanging in his house with a rope tied around his neck. He had hanged himself in the bathroom.
Police said the decomposing body of the daughter identified as Stacy Wambua, 25 was found in the house.
That of the wife identified as Tabitha Katheni Wambui was found lying on bed.
Police said they had been informed the man arrived home and found the two women dead before he decided to die by suicide. But police said they are investigating the claims.
A suicide note was found in the house and is being analysed, police said.
The bodies were moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Such cases have been on the rise amid efforts to address them.
Police statistics show up to five cases are at times reported daily in the worrying trend.
Most of the victims are men, statistics show.
The World Health Organisation says such cases are attributed to joblessness, death, academic failures or pressures, legal difficulties and financial difficulties.
Other reasons are bullying, previous suicide attempts, history of suicide in a family, alcoholism and substance misuse, depression and bipolar disorder.
The government says efforts are being made to address the menace.
Meanwhile, police are hunting for a suspect behind the murder of a man at Kasarani Market, Marimanti, Tharaka Nithi County.
Police said John Muriithi Mwingi, 42 was found dead in a pool of blood after an attack by a known assailant.
He had been attacked by the assailant after a brief argument at a local market. He died on the spot as the assailant escaped the scene with his killer weapon.
Police said the deceased had a clean cut wound on the lower part of his head and the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
In Mukuru Kwa Njenga area, Nairobi, a man was found dead and lying in a pool of blood.
He was identified as Michael Kioko, 27. Witnesses told police he was killed by a group of about six people who had chased him for a short distance.
The body had stab wounds in the chest when it was discovered, police said.
The motive of the murder was not immediately known. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
