Police in Machakos County are investigating the murder of an unidentified man whose body was discovered abandoned at Woongani Village in Matungulu Sub-County.

The incident was reported to KBC Police Station on June 15, 2026, by members of the public who alerted authorities after spotting the body.

This is the latest such incident to happen in the past three days where up to four bodies have been discovered in separate places.

Police visited the scene where they found the body of an unknown African male believed to be approximately 40 years old.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased had sustained deep cuts to the head and neck, injuries believed to have been inflicted using a sharp object.

Police noted that there were no signs of a struggle at the scene, leading investigators to suspect that the victim may have been killed elsewhere before his body was dumped at the location where it was found.

Crime Scene Investigations (CSI) officers from Kangundo processed and photographed the scene as part of ongoing investigations.

The body was moved to Kangundo Hospital Mortuary, where it awaits identification and a post-mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.

Police have appealed to members of the public with information that may assist in identifying the deceased or tracing those responsible for the killing to come forward.

And police in Busia County are investigating a murder case after a 39-year-old man died while undergoing treatment for injuries allegedly sustained during a family dispute.

The incident was reported to Busia Police Station on June 15, 2026, and indicated a quarrel broke out at the family home on June 12 between Robert Orodi, 39, and his uncle.

During the confrontation, the uncle allegedly kicked Robert Orodi twice in the abdomen.

Following the incident, the victim reportedly began complaining of severe abdominal pain and was taken to New Busia Nursing and Maternity Hospital on June 13 for medical treatment.

Hospital records indicate that he later underwent surgery as doctors attempted to manage his condition. However, he succumbed to his injuries on June 15 while receiving treatment.

Police officers visited the hospital and confirmed the death before launching investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The body was moved to Francis Funeral Home, where it awaits a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Detectives are expected to use the findings of the autopsy to support ongoing investigations into the alleged assault and determine any criminal liability.
