    Mariana Ximenes do Prado Nuzzi is a renowned Brazilian actress and producer, celebrated for her versatile performances across television, film, and theater.

    Born on April 26, 1981, in São Paulo, Brazil, she grew up in the Vila Mariana neighborhood and comes from a diverse heritage, with her mother, Fátima Ximenes do Prado, being a speech therapist of Dutch descent, and her father, José Nuzzi Neto, a lawyer of Italian descent from Apulia.

    Her parents separated when she was 17 years old.

    Ximenes has built a prolific career in the entertainment industry, becoming one of Brazil’s most beloved figures through her captivating roles and dedication to her craft.

    Ximenes launched her acting career in 1994 with a cameo in the telenovela 74.5 – Uma Onda no Ar, but she gained significant recognition in 1998 for her role as Emília Gouveia in Fascinação and as Ruth Stern in the film Caminho dos Sonhos.

    Her breakthrough came in 2000 with the character Bionda in Uga-Uga, which propelled her to national and international fame.

    Throughout the 2000s and beyond, she delivered memorable performances in telenovelas such as Celi Montana in Andando nas Nuvens (1999), Rosário in A Casa das Sete Mulheres (2003), Ana Francisca in Chocolate com Pimenta (2003), Raíssa in América (2005), Bel in Cobras & Lagartos (2006), Lara in A Favorita (2008), Clara in Passione (2010), marking her first villainous role, and later roles like Aurora Lincoln in Joia Rara (2013) and Constância in Haja Coração (2016).

    In cinema, Ximenes starred in acclaimed films including Marina in O Invasor (2002), Weronika Muller in Gaijin – Ama-me Como Sou (2005), Laura in Os Penetras (2012), and Josie in Um Homem Só (2016), which she also produced.

    Her theater work includes productions like A Rosa Tatuada (2000), Os Altruístas (2011) as Sydney, and Cara Palavra (2020), while she has also lent her voice to animated projects such as Sharon Spitz in Braceface (2001) and Hebe Marreca in Chicken Little (2005).

    For her role in O Invasor (2002), Ximenes won Best Supporting Actress at the Festival do Recife, along with the Passista Trophy, Grande Prêmio BR do Cinema Brasileiro, and Cinema Brazil Grand Prize.

    In 2003, she earned Best Romantic Couple at Prêmio Contigo for A Casa das Sete Mulheres and Best Actress at Melhores do UOL e PopTevê for Chocolate com Pimenta.

    Her performances in A Máquina (2005) and América (2005) brought her Best Actress honors at FestCineGoiânia and Capricho Awards, while Cobras & Lagartos (2006) secured her Favorite Actress at Meus Prêmios Nick.

    Additional recognitions include Best Actress at Prêmio Jovem Brasileiro for Os Altruístas (2011), Festival de Gramado for Um Homem Só (2015), Melhores do Ano – RD1 for Nos Tempos do Imperador (2021), and Venice TV Awards for Happy Hour com Mariana Ximenes (2023).

    She has also received multiple Troféu Imprensa, Melhores do Ano, Prêmio Contigo, and other prestigious honors, alongside numerous nominations across categories like Best Actress at events such as Platino Awards and Prêmio Guarani.
