Acting Cabinet Secretary for Interior, Dr Fred Matiang’i has declared Wednesday, 25 October a holiday.

The holiday, he says will allow Kenyans participate in the election scheduled for October 26.

The CS also declared Thursday a holiday to allow Kenyans willing to exercise their civic duty a chance to do so.

The opposition led by Raila Odinga has however insisted that no elections will be held on the said date as the commission can not deliver a free fair and credible election.

Ballot papers have arrived in the country with the first batch landing on Saturday.
