Veteran politician Kenneth Matiba will now get a whooping Sh 945 million down from Sh. 504 million after it was discovered that there was an error in calculation.
Attorney General Githu Muigai consented to the enhancements in his compensation.
The politician was on August 16 awarded the Sh 504 million by Supreme Court Judge, Isaac Lenaola saying his rights were violated while in detention.

Matiba suffered a stroke in 1991 but did not receive medical attention as he was still in detention.
Justice Lenaola said the politician had proven that he had suffered in the hands of the state before his release on June 4, 1991.
