Murang’a MCA aspirant Patrick Kahari has gone missing after reporting that some people were following him.
The youthful candidate for Kanyenya-ini ward in Kangema sub-county has been missing since July 24, a day after reporting the threats at Kangema police station.
This is the second aspirant missing after one Clifford Mwalo of Kajulu ward in Kisumu county also disappeared and is yet to be traced after boarding a plane to China.
The family of Kahari reported that he left home to campaign in the ward and has not been seen since then. The relatives blame politics for the disappearance.
Cases of politicians missing as we get closer to the August 8th date have been increasing at an alarming rate. Some of those who have been reported missing are Kabete MP aspirant Charles Chege, Juja MCA aspirant Margaret Wanjiru and Rangwe MP aspirant Ezra Odhiambo.
On Monday, the body of IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando was found dumped in Kikuyu after he had gone missing on Friday.
