Nominated MCA Mary Njambi has been suspended for 10 days from the Nairobi County Assembly over misconduct.
She was suspended alongside two other MCAs for being behind the chaos that took place at City Hall as they tried to forcefully evict former speaker Beatrice Elachi out of her office.
Their counterpart nominated MCA Mary Mariviza has also bee slapped with a 21 day suspension following her conduct during the election of the current speaker at the county assembly chambers. Ariviza fought the orderlies at the county assembly saying that she had not been consulted on the decision to change the speaker.
The other two MCAs are Laura Mwende and Nancy Muthami. Nine other Members of the County Assembly were given warnings for their contribution to the chaos in September 10 at City Hall.
They include majority leader Abdi Guyo, his minority counterpart Elias Otieno, Minority Whip Peter Imwatok, Majority Whip Waithera Chege, Peter Wahinya, Antony Kiragu, Mwangi Njihia, Redson Otieno and Osman Khalif.

The MCAs had previously defended their actions at the powers and privileges committee. However, the county assembly suspended the MCAs by the recommendation of the committee.
