US First Lady, Melania Trump, has commended Lakers Basket Ball player, Lebron James for promoting education in Akron, Ohio, USA, saying that she would be open to visit Lebron’s school.
Melania’s comments come after her husband, Donald Trump, criticized Lebron’s interview on CNN saying that he prefers Michael Jordan instead.
“Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!” Trump said.
Lebron James was asked by CNN’s Don Lemon what he would say to Donald Trump if he was seated across from him.
“I would never sit across from him,” James said “I’ll sit across from Barack, though.”
Trump’s wife, Melania did not share the same sentiments as her husband, as her spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham released a statement on Saturday commending the basket ball player.
“It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation and just as she always has, the First Lady encourages everyone to have an open dialogue about issues facing children today.” Melania’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, said.
“As you know, Mrs. Trump has traveled the country and world talking to children about their well-being, healthy living, and the importance of responsible online behavior with her Be Best initiative. Her platform centers around visiting organizations, hospitals and schools, and she would be open to visiting the I Promise School in Akron.” she added.
