Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga scored his maiden goal for Kashiwa Reysol in the Japan’s J-League in 5-1 win over V-Varen Nagasaki at Hitachi Kashiwa Soccer Stadium, Kashiwa on Saturday.
Olunga netted the fifth goal in the 93rd minute after coming on as a substitute for Yusuke Kagawa in the 69th minute.
The 24-year-old made his debut last week in Kashiwa’s 2-0 loss away to Lwata in a game he also came on as a second half sub.

Musashi Suzuki opened the scoring for Nagasaki in the 11th minute but, Cristiano leveled in the 21st minute before grabbing a brace three minutes later for a 2-1 lead.
Junya Ito extended the lead early in the second half in the 48th minute for the third with Kohei Tezuka making it 4-1 with a minute left on regulation time.
Olunga sealed the humongous win with the 5th and final, driving home a low shot with his lethal left foot off Masahi Kamekawa’s left cross in the 93rd minute.
He thanked the Almighty for the goal: “God’s grace is immeasurable, His mercy is inexhaustible, His peace is inexpressible,” the former Gor Mahia forward tweeted.
Olunga joined the Japanese side early this month from China’s Zhicheng Guizhou in a three-year-deal for reported Ksh. 300m.
