Technology giant Microsoft has launched a mobile application meant to streamline business communication.

The new app, Kaizala Pro app, is designed to connect millions of users and has no membership limitation, making it possible for large companies to accommodate employees and even customers under a single platform.

The app is available as a stand-alone or as a package integrated with Office 365, giving its users ability to execute multiple functions.

Microsoft reveals that Kaizala group users are only able to access information or features that their respective organisations’ administrators have allowed.

The administrators are also able to restrict some actions including forwarding of messages within sub-groups.

Kaizala’s back-end algorithm helps companies to also gather information from surveys conducted in-app.

The app’s capabilities make it suitable for large group communication, workflow management and coordination, reporting and analytics.

“Mobile technology is enabling businesses to embrace the fourth industrial revolution and digitally transform their operations. Microsoft Kaizala is ideal for organisations that need to communicate with large number of task workers to enhance business agility, collaboration, and organisational productivity,” said Microsoft Eastern Africa Country Manager Sebuh Haileleul.

The app is enabled to work on low-end smartphones and any network including 2G.

“This means only you and the people with whom you are communicating can see what you have sent them. Microsoft Kaizala is currently Tier-A compliant and our engineers do not have access to any customer data,” said Mr Haileleul.

Companies or individuals can access the app through various Word 365 packages, for instance, Ksh10,999 per year for home service designed for two to five users, and Ksh40,000 annual package for office and home for the PC 2016 package for a single device.

However, there are different prices for companies subscribing to varying service access and number of employees.

The app is commercially available in 13 countries in the Middle East and Africa where customers using valid Office 365 subscription are eligible to use Kaizala Pro.
