This period established him as a forceful and theatrical drummer suited to complex, story-driven metal.

After a brief collaboration with Don Dokken in 1990, Dee’s career reached new heights in 1992 when he joined the legendary English band Motörhead, replacing Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor.

Invited by frontman Lemmy Kilmister after earlier tours together, Dee remained with the band for over two decades until Lemmy’s death in 2015.

During this time, he appeared on numerous studio albums and live releases, delivering the relentless, high-energy drumming that defined Motörhead’s sound and contributed to their enduring live reputation.

Following Motörhead’s dissolution, Dee briefly explored other projects before joining the German rock legends Scorpions in 2016, initially as a touring replacement and later permanently.

He has since recorded with the band on albums like Rock Believer and continues to tour with them, bringing his signature power to their classic anthems and new material.
