The Orange Democratic Party (ODM) has condoled with Likoni MP Mishi Mboko on the passing of her brother.
Mboko who is also the party’s Deputy Director of elections lost her brother, Dr Ali Hamso on Sunday.
The deceased, a local daily reports might have committed suicide.
Dr Ali was away in Cuba where he was pursuing a Masters Degree in Medicine.
A postmortem on his body will be conducted on Monday.
“Condolences to the family of Likoni MP and Dep. Director of Elections Mishi Mboko following the death of her brother Dr. Ali Hamso in Cuba where he had gone to pursue Masters Degree in Medicine. We pray for God’s fortitude to the family during this sad moment,” the party wrote on social media.

He was among the 50 medics sent to Cuba for further studies at the University of Medical Sciences in Havana. The program was going to cost the Kenyan government Sh215 million.
The medics were going to receive a month stipend of Sh36,000 during their stay in Cuba but the government has been inconsistent in the payments.
It has been said that the doctors have been struggling due to the high cost of living in the foreign country. For example, a cup of tea goes for at least Sh600 while a Sh30 exercise book goes for Sh800.
