Mombasa woman who abducted self on Thursday is likely to be charged with giving false information, Mombasa DCIO Jacob Kanake has said.

Saida Abdarehman, police believe abducted herself on the said day while 8 months pregnant, but when she was found on Sunday at Pumwani Mosque, she was not pregnant.

She was rushed to Radiant Hospital along Juja Road where she is said to have received treatment.

Police gave her time to recover but are now probing whether she was really pregnant.

“We would want to know what happened. Whether she was really abducted or was part of the whole saga because the foetus is not with her and we are probing that,” DCIO Kanake told the Nation on Sunday.

A relative told the police that her abductors were six women with coastal accents.
