For the second game on the bounce Victor Wanyama was a second half substitute for Tottenham Hotspur.

The Harambee Stars skipper was a 90th minute replacement for Moussa Sissoko in Spurs’ 3-0 against Borrussia Dortmund at Wembley on Wednesday night.

For the few minutes he was on the pitch, the 27-year-old, who is emerging from a nagging knee injury, showed his quality and impressed the fans.

“Wanyama was excellent when he came on,” @Ledly4King Tweeted.

The former Celtic midfielder was also a second half substitute against Leicester City in the Premier League over the weekend, his first game of the year after a long layoff.

His return is a welcome news for Afcon bound Harambee Stars.

Stars qualified for the continental championship for the first time in 15 years and Wanyama is among Kenyan players who will be hoping to make their maiden appearances.
