He said that the only person who has a right to institute such a petition was the president because he was directly aggrieved by the ruling and that if he has not yet lodged a complaint then no one else should.

Moses Kuria said that the the chief Justice was a head of an arm of government and that members of parliament did not have the capacity file such a complaint.
The Jubilee party through its secretary General Raphael Tuju has distanced his from the petition saying that Mr. Ngunjiri filed it on his own capacity as a private citizen.
This comes after president Uhuru Kenyatta had vowed to ‘fix’ the judiciary.
