    ‘My Wife Is To Blame For All My Troubles,’ Bishop Deya Says As He Seeks To Divorce Her

    Embattled bishop Gilbert Deya has blamed all his troubles on his estranged wife Mary Deya. He said that he was in London running his ministry when all the ‘miracle baby business’ was took place.  .

    He said at the time is wife Mary who was running the ministry in Kenya also delivered a child and purported that the child was a ‘miracle baby.’ The Bishop said that he did not know whether it was miraculous pregnancy or she has cheated on him. He said that they have since separated and were on the verge of concluding their divorce.

    Bishop Deya also spoke to the Nairobian about his stay in Kamiti after he extradited, He said that it was very uncomfortable as it was infested by bed bugs and he  had to use a bucket as his toilet and he therefore decided to construct a toilet block ad also donate blankets.

    He maintained his innocence stating that God purposed for him to be in Kamiti. He said that he does not value material things and was willing to give out his land cruiser.

    He refused to speak about the Helicopter that his church owned, saying that God raised him from grass to grace and he was not willing to speak about his current wealth.

    Bishop Deya was released on Sh 10 million bond, He is accused of stealing five children and the trial is ongoing. His wife was charged with stealing a child at Kenyatta hospital in 2005
