There are apparently ongoing plans to have Nairobi county become a Ministry under the National Government.
According to the Star, some people in the Jubilee government are hatching a plan that will see a new ministry created.
The ministry is allegedly supposed to take over most of the powers and functions the Nairobi County performs.
Should the ministry see the light of day, it will be handed to Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe. The Governor, Mike Sonko will be left to handle the politics.
Corridors Of Power reports that Mr Igathe is already heading a team of four Principal Secretaries (PS) from Lands, Health, Infrastructure and Education to oversee the transition.
The former Managing Director for Vivo Energy, is said to have told some people that ‘this has to be done, liwe liwalo.’

Nobody needs to copy anything Museveni is doing. Sonko and Igathe are a super team that will turn Nairobi around.
