Blow To Nakumatt Following The Closure Of Three Outlets
Nakumatt Westgate has issued a notice to its customers regarding the recent closure of its Westgate branch.
According to reports, the retailer chain has been the target of speculation following the closure of several branches.
The company recently made headlines over the closure of its Junction outlet after a file was petitioned in court.

Justice Joseph Onguto issued a directive to the owners of the Nakumatt branch bringing the closure to a halt.
“The Junction Mall’s underhand actions on Saturday night, including locking the branch and publicizing a fraudulent and misleading notice claiming that the premises have been surrendered by Nakumatt, are clearly contrary to the terms of the Agreement, illegal and of utmost bad faith,” Nakumatt MD Atul Shah pleaded in his affidavit filed in court.
As the retailer chain aims to move forward several of its employees are said to be highly affected.
“Dear Customers, Nakumatt Westgate store will be closed from 8 October 2017 until further notice. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Please visit out nearest stores,” the notice read.
The notice referred customers to its Nakumatt Ukay, Highlands and Village Markets outlets.
