At least 15 Kenyans living in the United States are among individuals branded the “worst of the worst”.
This is after they were arrested pending deportation by the Trump administration.

The 14 men and one woman find themselves on an initial list of 10,000 whose names, images and criminal histories have been published by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on a webpage called “Worst of the Worst,” which was launched on Monday.

The crimes for which they are listed include driving under the influence, fraud and robbery.

Naserian Montet appears on the initial list of 10,000 criminal aliens that DHS says have been arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Naserian, who DHS says was found guilty of assault and violation of a court order and arrested in Spanish Fork, Utah, is joined by 14 other Kenyans viewed as threats to US national security.

Also on the list is Alfred Obiero, who, according to information provided on the DHS website, was convicted of assault, driving under the influence, and domestic violence. He was arrested in Colorado Springs.

Patrick Mwangi and Daniel Kathii were both convicted of driving under the influence and arrested in Texas.

Isaac Githinji, labelled “worst of the worst” for flight to avoid prosecution, was arrested in Arizona.
Collins Keanche, convicted for check forgery and money laundering, was arrested in Minnesota, while Francis Mungai, convicted of receiving stolen property, was arrested in Massachusetts.

Bethuel Gathu, convicted of robbery, was arrested in California, and Moses Okoth, convicted of aggravated assault, was arrested in Nashville, Tennessee.

Clement Mulovi, convicted of fraud, was arrested in Houston, Texas, while Moffat Muriithi, convicted of drug-related offences, was also arrested in Texas. Antony Karia, convicted of fraud, false statement and hit-and-run, was arrested in Seattle, Washington.

Boniface Mburu, convicted of aggravated assault and stolen property, was arrested in Georgia, and Kevin Gunyanyi, convicted of assault and terroristic threat offences, was arrested in Pennsylvania.

Mohamed Chekchekani rounds off the initial list of 15 Kenyans labelled as the “worst of the worst” Kenyan criminal offenders in the US.

According to DHS, he was convicted of kidnapping a minor, violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisations Act (RICO), and was arrested in San Pedro, California
