NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi announced that the funds drive for the presidential election had gotten Ksh.20 million from their supporters. He stated that most of the funds came from from the small contributors of Ksh.5 and Ksh.10.

He appreciated all the contributors and said that they had joined the journey to achieving electoral justice in Kenya.

The NASA coalition through their Presidential candidate and  had asked their supporters to contribute whatever they had towards the presidential campaign  and likened the contributions to booking a ticket to canaan.

The Jubilee coalition criticised the move as a fleecing Kenyans but that doesn’t seem to have affected the Kenyans who wanted to contribute.
