Natalya Neidhart, born Natalie Katherine Neidhart on May 27, 1982, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a renowned Canadian-American professional wrestler.

As a third-generation wrestler from the legendary Hart family, she carries forward a storied legacy through her mother, Elizabeth “Ellie” Hart, daughter of wrestling patriarch Stu Hart, and her father, WWE Hall of Famer Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart.

Standing at 5 feet 5 inches and known for her technical prowess and sharpshooter submission hold, a nod to her uncle Bret “The Hitman” Hart, Natalya has become synonymous with resilience and excellence in the ring.

Currently signed to WWE’s Raw brand under the ring name Natalya, she performs both as a competitor and a trainer, mentoring the next generation of female wrestlers.

Beyond wrestling, she is married to former WWE Superstar TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd) since 2013 and has ventured into acting, reality television, and writing, including a weekly column for the Calgary Sun and Edmonton Sun since 2017.

Siblings

Natalya has two sisters, Jenni Neidhart and Kristen “Kirstin” or “Muffy” Neidhart, all daughters of Jim Neidhart and Elizabeth Hart.

As the middle child, Natalya was born two years after her eldest sister Jenni, who arrived on July 13, 1980, in Calgary.

Jenni, a 45-year-old Canadian-American social media influencer, professional chef, baker, and model, has carved a distinct path outside the wrestling ring.

She has also gained attention as an OnlyFans creator and co-hosts the popular YouTube channel “The Neidharts” with Natalya, launched in 2020, which has amassed more than 61,000 subscribers.

Career

Neidhart’s amateur background in wrestling, martial arts, and Jiu-Jitsu laid the foundation for a career that would span over two decades.

She debuted professionally in 2000 as a host and ring announcer for Eric Bischoff’s Matrats promotion, but her true breakout came in 2003 with the Hart family-owned Stampede Wrestling, where she honed her skills until 2007.

International tours followed, including stints in England in 2004 and Japan in 2005 under the name Nadia Hart, exposing her to diverse styles and solidifying her technical expertise.

In 2007, at age 25, Natalya signed with WWE, starting in developmental territories like Deep South Wrestling, Ohio Valley Wrestling, and Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).

There, she managed her cousin Harry Smith and future husband TJ Wilson, helping them secure the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship.

Her main roster debut arrived on April 4, 2008, on SmackDown, emerging as a heel to aid Victoria in an attack, introducing herself as Natalya Neidhart—the daughter of Jim Neidhart.

She quickly made her in-ring mark with a win over Cherry and qualified as the first contender for the newly created WWE Divas Championship.

Over the years, Natalya has fluidly shifted between singles and tag team roles, heel and face alignments, and brands like SmackDown, ECW, Raw, and NXT.

Key storylines include her 2010 alliance with LayCool leading to a Divas Championship win, a 2011 heel turn with Beth Phoenix, and her 2017 SummerSlam triumph over Naomi for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

As a trailblazer, she became the first third-generation female wrestler in WWE history and has served as a locker room leader, trainer at the WWE Performance Center, and cast member on “Total Divas” since 2013, which chronicled her wedding and personal life.

Even after her husband’s 2015 retirement due to injury, Natalya continued competing, appearing in eight WrestleManias and venturing into independent events like Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport and NWA cards under her real name, Nattie Neidhart.

Accolades

In WWE, Neidhart is a two-time women’s world champion, capturing the WWE Divas Championship once in 2010 by defeating LayCool in a handicap match at Survivor Series, her first singles title after years of near-misses, and the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship once in 2017 at SummerSlam against Naomi, marking her return to singles gold after a seven-year drought.

She also secured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship once in 2020 alongside Tamina, holding it for 65 days and defending it at WrestleMania 37.

Pre-WWE, her accolades include becoming the inaugural Stampede Women’s Pacific Champion in 2005, a title she vacated after a dominant four-way victory, and winning the SuperGirls Championship in 2006 from Lisa Moretti, reigning for 19 days in NWA: Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling.

Beyond titles, Natalya holds an unprecedented six Guinness World Records as of 2023, recognizing her as the female WWE Superstar with the most matches (1,514), most wins (663), most Raw matches (174), most SmackDown matches (200), most pay-per-view appearances (75), and most WrestleMania matches (8).

These feats highlight her unmatched longevity and consistency since signing with WWE in 2007.

In 2021, WWE ranked her 20th on its list of the 50 greatest female wrestlers of all time, and in 2025, she made history as the first woman to receive the prestigious Lou Thesz Award from the Cauliflower Alley Club, honoring her contributions to wrestling’s technical and cultural legacy.

Additional nods include her 2023 Wheel of Fortune WWE Week Tournament victory with partner Grant Salzano, netting $54,000 in prizes, and features in eight WWE video games from SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 onward.
