Two Nation Media journalists were on Monday attacked by rowdy youths in Nairobi’s Lucky Summer area following the Supreme Court ruling that upheld President Uhuru Kenyatta’s election.
Stella Cherono and Brian Moseti are said to have robbed of their valuables including their phones by a group of people chanting ‘No Raila, No peace slogans.’
”The crowd came charging while wielding pangas, around four men surrounded me. One was holding a panga to my neck and another slapped me even after I had given him my phone. My ear is still ringing,” Ms Cherono told Nairobi News.
Moseti on the other hand says that a group of young men backed him on to the car, took his phone while others threatened to rough him up.
The two, they say felt helpless as hundreds of NASA supporters marched right in front of them.
