NCA Issues Fresh Notice to Contractors

The National Construction Authority (NCA) has issued a fresh notice to contractors, reminding them to renew their practising licences for the 2026/2027 financial year and comply with mandatory professional training requirements.
In a notice dated Tuesday, July 14, 2026, NCA Executive Director Maurice Akech said the licence renewal window for the 2026/2027 financial year opened on July 1, 2026, and will remain open until July 31, 2026.
The Authority also reminded contractors that those who did not attend Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training during the 2025/2026 financial year must first earn the required CPD points before their practising licences can be renewed.
“The Authority further wishes to inform contractors who may not have attended training in the financial year 2025/2026 that it is mandatory to accrue 10 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points by attending an NCA or NCA-accredited CPD seminar in order to renew their annual practising licence, as provided under Regulation 14 of the NCA Regulations, 2014,” the notice states.
According to the Authority, contractors can access the CPD training calendar and register for the seminars through the NCA website.
The NCA urged all contractors to complete both the mandatory training and licence renewal process within the stipulated period to avoid disruptions to their operations.
Further details on the training schedule and registration are available on the Authority’s website at www.nca.go.ke.
