Chandarana Supermarket employee who sent a racist email is said to have ignored summons from the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC).

Ms Rima Patel was supposed to have appeared before the Francis ole Kaparo led commission on Friday at 10 am.

The leaked email sparked controversy on social media prompting Nairobi Governor to suspend its licenses.

But the supermarket chain was in business the next day. The management did however take disciplinary action against Ms Rima Patel who sent a promotional message targeting the White clientele.

“We are delighted to inform you that our supermarket chain would like to give you free vouchers to winner/raffles/best performer/runners up candidate in upcoming events. As we are now focusing on white people to attract our supermarkets,” the email read in part.
