New twist as details emerge authorities allowed Samidoh to travel out of country

Mugithi sensation Samuel Muchoki who also doubles up as an Administration Police officer attached to the Anti-Stock Theft Unit was granted travel clearance on April 25, 2025, to visit the United States of America for a private visit.
This is despite the National Police Service (NPS) declaring him a deserter and issuing a warrant of arrest.
“Please be informed that No. 247569/2013040010 APC Samuel Ndirangu Muchoki of the Anti-Stock Theft Unit ‘MTD’ Company is on the above subject. The officer was granted off-duty and was supposed to report back on 27/05/2025, but he failed to do so,” a report that has since gone viral reads.
“Since then, he has not been seen, and his whereabouts are currently unknown. Efforts to trace him have been futile. He has now absented himself without leave for a period of more than 10 days and is hereby declared a deserter with effect from 06/06/2025.”
But according to documents obtained by Kahawa Tungu, Samidoh received clearance allowing him to leave Kenya on May 20, 2025, with an expected return date of June 9, 2025. All travel and accommodation expenses were to be privately met by the officer.
However, following the approved leave, the hitmaker did not report back to work as required. A follow-up internal communication dated June 9, 2025, from the Anti-Stock Theft Unit, revealed that the officer was supposed to resume duties on May 27, 2025, but had failed to do so. Since then, efforts to trace his whereabouts have been unsuccessful.
The police memo further stated that the Toxic Love crooner has been absent without leave for more than 10 days and his salary had been stopped with immediate effect, and orders have been issued to arrest him upon discovery. The document also requested officers to circulate his details and visit his home in Gatumbiro, Nyandarua West, in a bid to locate him.
