Nicholas Robertson is an American professional ice hockey left winger currently playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League.
Born on September 11, 2001, in Pasadena, California, he stands at 5 feet 9 inches and weighs around 180 pounds.
Nicknamed for his energetic style and scoring touch, Robertson is the younger brother of Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson.
Drafted 53rd overall by the Maple Leafs in the second round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, he has developed into a promising offensive forward known for his quick release, hockey sense, and ability to produce in the NHL despite facing significant injury setbacks early in his career.
He made his NHL debut during the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs and has steadily increased his role with Toronto.

Nicholas is the younger brother of Jason Robertson, a star left winger for the Dallas Stars who has established himself as one of the NHL’s top scorers.

Career
Robertson’s hockey journey began in Southern California youth programs, where he and his brothers idolized NHL players while attending Kings games.
The family moved to Michigan around 2010 to pursue more competitive opportunities, and Nick excelled in junior hockey.
He played in the Ontario Hockey League with the Peterborough Petes, posting standout numbers including a league-leading 55 goals and 86 points in 46 games during the shortened 2019-20 season.
Selected by the Maple Leafs in 2019, he signed an entry-level contract and made his NHL debut in the 2020 playoffs, scoring one goal in four games.
His early professional path was hampered by injuries, including a serious hip issue that required surgery and limited his availability.
Despite these challenges, Robertson has shown resilience, splitting time between the NHL and the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies while gradually earning more ice time with the Maple Leafs.
By the 2025-26 season, he appeared in a career-high number of games, contributing with career-best goal and point totals as a bottom-six to middle-six forward valued for his speed and finishing ability.
He has represented the United States at various youth international levels and continues to develop his two-way game under Toronto’s system.
