Night watchman killed in attack at Kirinyaga bar

Detectives are investigating an incident where a night watchman was found murdered in a bar in Kutus, Kirinyaga County.
The body of Fredrick Kimotho, 50 was found lying on the floor in the bar long after his murder.
He was on duty at the Supa Metro Bar at Kabatiro centre when he was attacked by unknown assailants
His body had strangulation marks on the neck and a scarf had been stuffed in his mouth, police said.
It was established that the deceased was also stabbed on the left thigh using a sharp object.
He was pursued in the bar and killed therein. The motive of the murder was not known, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
In Kambiti, Muranga County, a man was found lying dead on the road about 200 meters from Maranjau Shopping Centre. He was identified as Livingstone Mwangi Wangari. His body had visible head injuries and was bleeding from the nostrils and mouth.
He is said to be a broker dealing with mangoes and was last spotted in the area.
His body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
And a 73-year-old man was killed by a passenger train in Sagana area, Nyeri County.
The man was identified as Ibrahim Muchiri Kigachi.
The man was crossing the railway line when he was hit on Tuesday. His body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
The man had mental issues, locals said.
In Kiamariga, Nyeri County, the body of one Millicent Wangui Kariithi, 53 was found floating in a swamp.
The deceased’s rubber shoes were found placed on the banks of the swamp and the body had an old burn wound on the face which family members present allege was as a result of falling into a fire while cooking since she was epileptic.
Additionally, the deceased had been suffering from mental instability and had been running away from her home severally, the family claimed.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
