Track legend Nyantika Mayioro is currently hospitalized at the Christamarriane Hospital in Kisii County.

Mayioro, 88, is said to have been diagnosed with tuberculosis. He has been at the facility for the past five days.

In a video posted on Thursday by the Nation, the frail ex-athlete accused two individuals of grabbing two pieces of land at a settlement scheme in Nyamira measuring up to seven hectares.

He asked President Uhuru Kenyatta, opposition leader Raila Odinga and Interior CS Fred Matiang’i to intervene and help in resolving the issue.

He was coached by the paramount chief Musa Nyandusi.

In 1953 Mayioro won 3000 metres race at the Indian Ocean Games in Madagascar.

This comes at a time when football legend Joe Kadenge is admitted at the Nairobi Hospital after suffering a stroke for a second time.
