The National Police Service Senior Staff College Emali Campus commandant Gisiri Nyamohanga was Tuesday named the new Nyanza Regional Police Commander in changes.

Deputy Inspector General of Kenya Police Eliud Lagat on Tuesday March 18 named Nyamohanga as the new Nyanza RPC.

She will replace Patrick Tito who was moved to Vigilance House and named the Principal Assistant to Lagat.

Lagat termed the changes normal to enhance operations at large and declared more changes are on the way

She was the senior most female officer in the APS.

This came following newly announced promotions on more than 700 senior officers by the National Police Service Commission.

More changes are expected in the service following the promotions.

The commission promoted more than 135 Senior Superintendent Police officers to the rank of Commissioner of Police.
