NYS Announces Jobs for Religious Leaders
The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced job opportunities for religious leaders, including chaplains and Maalims.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, NYS announced three positions each for Catholic Chaplains and Protestant Chaplains.
The service also announced two positions each for Seventh Day Adventist Chaplains and Maalims.
Applicants must be Kenyan citizens with a valid National Identity Card and Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) PIN Certificate.
They must be aged between 27 and 36 years, have no criminal record and be medically fit.
Applicants must also meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution, which sets out standards on leadership and integrity.
Successful cadets will be required to undergo nine months of NYS paramilitary training at the NYS Training College.
“Qualified Cadets MUST undergo NYS Paramilitary training for nine months at NYS Training College,” NYS said.
The applications should reach the designated office not later than October 19, 2026.
