ODM Appoints Sifuna As Secretary General At National Governing Council Meeting

The Orange democratic Movement (ODM) party on Friday held its National governing council meeting. Deputy party leader Hassan Joho told the delegates to go back to their respectful counties and sell the policy of the ODM party.

Joho said that there was no competition within the party and that members should ensure that the new team gets adequate support. The party ratified the proposal to have lawyer Edwin Sifuna assumes the position of the secretary general of the party. He will be deputized by Senator Agnes Zani and Hon. Florence Mutua.

Gladys Wanga was also appointed as the secretary of parliament affairs, Hon Owen Baya replaces Reuben Ndolo as the organizing secretary.

Raila Odinga said that Kenyans were closely looking on ODM and NASA to fight for them against the Jubilee government. He said that the National debt was ballooning and the cost of living was shooting above the window.

The ODM leader said that the cabinet that was selected was uninspiring and that they had to obtain directions to the president on every issue and could not make decisions on their own.

NASA principals Musalia and Kalonzo Musyoka were both in attendance, The Amani National Congress (ANC) leader said that he will keenly listen to Raila as his statement affected a lot of people.
