A committee in charge of planning the funeral of the late Ol Kalou MP David Njuguna Kiaraho, has announced his burial date.
Kiaraho will be laid to rest on Friday, April 10, 2026, in Tigoni, Limuru Constituency, according to Funeral Planning Committee Chairperson Kwenya Thuku (Kinangop).
Speaking on Monday after the second planning committee meeting at the late MP’s Runda home in Nairobi, Thuku said the MP will be interred in accordance with his wishes.
“Our departed brother will be laid to rest in his farm in Tigoni. He liked going there to relax, reflect and unwind and that is where he indicated he wished to be buried. It is in line with his last wish,” said Thuku.
The late Kiaraho was serving his third term as the Member for Ol Kalou Constituency, having first been elected to the National Assembly during the 2013 General Elections.
The committee also announced that a church service will be held in Ol Kalou on Tuesday, April 7, to allow constituents to mourn their lawmaker.
Another church service will be held at St Andrew’s Church in Nairobi.
He was a member of the Departmental Committee on Transport and Infrastructure and the Procedure and House Rules Committee.
