Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho has said former Senator, Hassan Omar’s petition challenging his win is ‘full factual and legal errors’ and wants it thrown out.
Joho’s lawyer, Mohammed Balala on Wednesday said Omar’s request for fresh polls was invalid as the petition did not enjoin Deputy Michael Kingi.
Omar has stated that there will be ‘by elections’ in Mombasa after the court hears his case. He says that the governor election was marred with irregularities.
