    One More Night In Custody For Obado As He Awaits For His Sureties To Be Verified

    Governor Okoth Obado will have to spend an extra night after the DCI failed to clear his sureties. The governor had however paid the cash bail of cash bail as was ordered by the court.

    Obado had presented Toyota Prado and Toyota Land Cruiser V8 as sureties but one of them failed to clear and his lawyer decided to finish up tomorrow. The delay in the  process warranted the embattled governor another night at Industrial Area remand prison.

    The Migori  governor was released on a cash bail of Sh. 5million after Justice Lessit stated that the evidence against was circumstantial an not enough to deny him bail

    He was however released with conditions that he should not skip any court session as his bail could be cancelled at any time.

    She warned Obado against communicating with the parents, siblings or rather any close relative the deceased Sharon Otieno.

    “The accused will refrain from contacting or intimidating whether directly or by proxy witnesses in this case,” Justice Lessit said.
