Paddy Considine, born Patrick George Considine on September 5, 1973, in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, England, is an English actor, director, screenwriter, and musician of Irish descent.
Raised in the council estate of Winshill, a village near Burton, Considine grew up in a large family with his Irish father, Martin Joseph Considine, and his mother, Pauline.
His early interest in the arts led him from photography to acting, and later to directing and writing, establishing him as a versatile figure in British cinema.
Known for his raw performances, Considine has become a respected name in both independent films and mainstream television, with a career spanning over two decades.
Siblings
Paddy grew up with five siblings, comprising one brother and four sisters, in a working-class environment in Winshill.
His older brother, Martin Considine, shares a close bond with Paddy and resides in Burton upon Trent, where he coached a girls’ football team at a local school.
Among his sisters, Charlene Considine maintains a warm relationship with Paddy, having supported his career, notably expressing pride in his success with the television series House of the Dragon.

Career
Considine’s career began in the late 1990s when he met director Shane Meadows at Burton College, where he studied drama.
Meadows cast him in his first feature film, A Room for Romeo Brass (1999), where Considine played the disturbed Morell, earning attention for his intense performance.

This led to a starring role in Pawel Pawlikowski’s Last Resort (2000), where he won Best Actor at the Thessaloniki Film Festival for portraying Alfie.

His collaboration with Meadows continued with Dead Man’s Shoes (2004), a revenge thriller he co-wrote, cementing his reputation for playing complex, often dark characters.
