Nairobi Woman Representative was among forty eight bike riders drawn from Britain, Australia and Kenya who on Sunday arrived in Mombasa after a three-day cycling event.
The 500km ride from Nairobi to Treasury Square in Mvita was backed by UK-based Raha international charity and Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa cricket club.
The event, Kenya Charity bike ride, was meant to raise Sh12.5 million to support education for needy children and enable them access healthcare in Kenya.
Speaking at the arrival of the riders, Mombasa Senator Mohamed Faki reiterated the county government’s commitment to developing the coastal county and serving the electorate.
The legislator also assured the contribution will help in educating youths and ensure their access to universal health care.

He also assured the county government of more collaborations in future projects.
In June the legislator thrilled the city residents after she opted to ride a bicycle to parliament for the afternoon session from her Kitisuru home.
She sought to encourage cycling as an alternative means of transport in the city.
“Feeling elated for a successful ride from my home to Parliament this afternoon. Admittedly, cycling in Nairobi is a daunting task loaded with many risks, but that shouldn’t be the case,” she tweeted.
