    Paulina Vega Dieppa is a renowned Colombian model, business administrator, television host, and beauty pageant titleholder.

    Born on January 15, 1993, in Barranquilla, Atlántico Department, Colombia, she grew up in a vibrant coastal city that has produced numerous cultural icons.

    Of French and Spanish descent, Vega comes from a distinguished family; she is the daughter of cardiologist Rodolfo Vega Llamas and Laura Dieppa, and the granddaughter of celebrated Colombian tenor Gastón Vega and Elvira Castillo, who was crowned Miss Atlántico in 1953.

    She completed her early education at Colegio Karl C. Parrish and the German School of Barranquilla before moving to Bogotá to attend Deutsche Schule Bogotá for her final school years.

    Vega pursued higher education at Pontifical Xavierian University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

    Paulina has a younger sister named Valeria Vega Dieppa and a brother named Juan Pablo Vega.

    Valeria works as a personal trainer and shares a similar striking presence, often showcased through fitness and bikini photos on social platforms.

    This victory led to her historic win at Miss Universe 2014 in Doral, Florida, where she outshone 87 contestants and became the second Colombian to claim the crown, 56 years after the first.

    Following her reign, Vega relocated to New York City, embracing opportunities in television and hosting; she has appeared in shows like “How to Survive Being Single,” “Formula 1,” and “A Otro Nivel – Canta Conmigo Colombia,” showcasing her acting and presenting talents.

    As an entrepreneur, she has leveraged her business degree to explore media ventures, positioning herself as a media mogul with interests in content creation and brand collaborations.

    Additionally, Vega has dedicated time to humanitarian efforts, serving as a Global Food Security Ambassador for organizations like Stop Hunger Now to raise awareness about ending hunger, and promoting education on HIV/AIDS through global lectures and travels.

    Accolades

    Vega most notable achievement is winning Miss Universe 2014, where she received a comprehensive prize package including a year-long salary, world travel, a luxury New York apartment, designer wardrobes, a scholarship to the New York Film Academy, and access to elite fashion and beauty networks.

    Prior to that, she secured the Miss Colombia 2013 title, earning the highest scores in presentations and becoming the 11th representative from Atlántico to win nationally.

    She also held the Miss Atlántico 2013 crown, highlighting her regional dominance.

    Beyond pageants, Vega has been recognized for her humanitarian work, including her role as a Global Food Security Ambassador, which amplifies her efforts in anti-hunger initiatives.
