Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt Relationship Timeline: Inside Their Breakup, Reconciliation Efforts, and Life After Baby Scottie Rose

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt’s relationship appears to be in a complicated phase following reports that the pair have split but are still working through issues as co-parents to their infant daughter.
“Pete and Elsie are working on things,” a source told PEOPLE. “They want one another to succeed and be happy.”
According to the insider, the relationship has been marked by multiple breakups and reconciliations. “There have been points where they’ve split and have gotten back together,” the source added, noting that it remains unclear whether the pair will reunite romantically again.
The latest update follows a report by The Sun claiming the couple had separated about five months after the birth of their daughter. However, previous reporting from PEOPLE suggested that Davidson and Hewitt were actively trying to work through challenges as new parents.
“There are issues, but they’re trying to figure things out together,” a source said on April 30. “They’re adjusting to parenthood and working through the process.” The insider also emphasized at the time that their daughter remained “their top priority.”
Davidson, 32, and Hewitt, 30, were first linked romantically in March 2025. By July of the same year, the couple confirmed they were expecting their first child together.
Their daughter, Scottie Rose, was born on December 12, 2025. She was named in honor of Davidson’s late father, Scott Matthew Davidson, a New York City firefighter who died during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
In a March interview with PEOPLE while promoting his Crocs collaboration, Davidson opened up about embracing fatherhood.
“Dad life is f—ing awesome,” he said. “It is exhausting and rewarding and cute. And I’m very lucky because Elsie is a fantastic mom, and I can’t stress enough how lucky I am.”
Davidson also described how becoming a father reshaped his instincts. “It’s funny. It’s like I didn’t understand this. You’re just ready to fight anyone,” he said. “It’s like, chill out. No one’s doing anything to your kid.”
The former Saturday Night Live star has since revealed that he got a tattoo of Scottie’s name placed near his ear, marking a permanent tribute to his daughter.
Since Scottie’s arrival, both parents have occasionally shared glimpses of her on social media, while choosing to keep her face private.
Hewitt marked Scottie’s 12-week milestone on March 6 with a heartfelt Instagram post reflecting on her birth.
“my scottie girl is 12 weeks old today. on the way to the hospital we wrote down our predictions for what time she’d be born,” she wrote. “my guess was 3:05pm (my birthday, 03/05). after 23 hours of labor, that is the exact time she arrived. how crazy and cool is that.”
