A Meru Shuttle tout is under investigation after he beat up a passenger and left him for dead on January 30.

The conductor, Felix Mwingirwa is said to have smashed the passenger’s head on a windscreen and then shoved him onto a barricade, cracking his skull.

Well wishers are said to have called for an ambulance which rushed the victim to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) where he is fighting for his life.

Felix, a witness said, walked away saying that he ‘is untouchable.’

Police on Wednesday said that they had received the tout’s case and were following it up with Central Police Station OCS.

The tout is apparently well connected and has in the past been charged with similar charges but no action taken.

Felix, the Star reports, resides in Nairobi’s Zimmerman area.
