
Police have lobbed teargas canisters at activists from civil society organizations that had staged peaceful protests against the media shut down.
The activists who had peacefully matched peacefully from Uhuru park were seeking the audience of interior CS Fred Matiangi’i when they were met by the police.

The Activists led by the Kenya Human rights commission (KHRC) were protesting the failure by the government to follow court orders and switch on the media houses that had been shut down earlier in the week.
The activists were asking that the government follow the law, they have also asked that the constitution be respected. They have launched an online campaign dabbed ‘Not in my country.’
