    Proof Of Marriage Now A Mandatory Requirement – NHIF

    National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF)have said that couples have to present proof of marriage before being allowed to be attached to the contributor. According to the new directives spouses  have to produce a marriage certificate and affidavit from the court.

    The National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) have said that they will not allow an affidavit commissioned by an advocate and will only allow those commissioned by a magistrates.

    These new measure have been put in place to reduce the fraud that has been happening where people included mistresses and girlfriend as beneficiaries.

    Recently  the NHIF saved sh1.9 billion after nabbing hospitals that were making fake claims.
