PSC Advertises Kibabii University VC Position

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has declared the position of Vice Chancellor at Kibabii University vacant and invited applications from suitably qualified candidates.

In a notice, the commission said interested candidates can access details of the position and application procedure on its official website.

Applicants can submit their applications online through the PSC website or its jobs portal, following the instructions provided. They can also deliver their applications by hand to the Public Service Commission offices at Commission House, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi, or send them by registered mail to the Secretary/CEO, Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 30095-00100, Nairobi.

The commission said future applications for similar positions in public universities will only be accepted online through the PSC jobs portal.

Applicants have been advised to submit their applications by 5 p.m. on August 18, 2026.

The PSC also warned members of the public against fraudsters posing as commission officials and soliciting money in exchange for jobs.

The commission said it does not charge any fees for job applications, shortlisting, interviews or appointments.

The recruitment comes as Prof. Isaac Ipara Odeo continues to serve as the acting Vice Chancellor of Kibabii University.

Prof. Odeo was appointed to continue serving in an acting capacity for three months from July 26, 2026, following the end of his substantive tenure.
