Quickmart has priced its initial public offering at KES 7.50 per share, valuing the supermarket chain at KES 30 billion. The valuation represents 12.9 times projected FY2026 adjusted earnings.

The IPO will offer 2 billion existing shares, equivalent to 50% of the company, raising KES 15 billion if fully subscribed. Quickmart itself will receive no proceeds from the offer.

The offer opens October 5 and closes October 30. Trading on the Nairobi Securities Exchange is expected to begin November 12.

At the offer price, Quickmart is valued at 5.7 times projected FY2026 EV/adjusted EBITDA. The projected FY2026 dividend of KES 0.50 per share implies a 6.7% dividend yield.

Quickmart projects FY2026 revenue of KES 58.2 billion, rising to KES 67.4 billion in FY2027. The store network is expected to reach 73 stores by end-2026.

IFC has conditionally committed approximately KES 1.94 billion as a cornerstone investor, equivalent to roughly 6.45% of Quickmart after listing.

    Allocation Breakdown

    1. Kenyan retail investors: 20% of the offer
    2. Kenyan institutions: 35%
    3. EAC investors: 12%
    4. Foreign investors: 20%
    5. IFC: 13%

The minimum application is 500 shares, meaning retail investors can participate from KES 3,750.
